Taking the First Step
Once I understand where the stakeholders want to be, it is vital to understand where the business currently is. From there a business coaching plan can be created to bridge the gap between the two. The first step for you is to make a call, to get in touch and find out how I can help you. Professional Business Coaching
Chris received world class coach training at The Adler School of Professional Coaching in Toronto (Adler Associate Business Coach - AABC). His coach training is ICF accredited (International Coach Federation) and he is a member of the ICF and adheres to their code of ethics. About Chris Baxter
Whilst taking a year out before going to University I found a job and discovered that I enjoyed working far more than education. From an inauspicious start in a very badly paid job working behind the sales counter in a builder’s merchant I worked my way up the corporate ladder in various medium sized manufacturing businesses to become Supply Chain Director for a fast growing and very dynamic food packing producer. When P&G acquired and closed the very profitable business I worked for, I engineered a nice redundancy payment, said goodbye to corporate life and spent a very worthwhile year back in education studying for a masters degree at Durham Business School. A brief period with a now defunct furniture retailer ended one week after my fortieth birthday, when I resolved to take full control of my life and career by resigning and setting about the process of building my own business. Life as an employee was no longer providing sufficient fulfillment, so I decided to make the break and do something that would not only challenge and develop me, but in particular allow me to make lasting difference through the work that I do. Starting a Performance and Leadership Coaching Business seemed the natural choice. My corporate career had given me the benefit of working regularly with the shop floor, the CEO and all levels in between. Consequently I’ve seen and experienced most aspects of running a business. I’ve worked for profitable businesses, businesses that were reinventing themselves, green-field start-ups, fun businesses, oppressive businesses and businesses in real financial trouble. I’ve “been around the block”, seen and taken some hard knocks, but also shared in the thrill of success. As an Ology Business Coach I make a real and lasting difference in my client’s businesses. My passion is developing people and teams so that first of all they become aware of their potential, and secondly make huge strides toward achieving that previously hidden potential. Working alongside my clients I build robust and lasting improvements that deliver real bottom-line benefit. Along the way I’ve helped individual managers transform their performance, helped businesses build powerful enabling cultures, created high-performance teams, managed succession planning and helped businesses stay ahead of their growth curve. My goal is to see people recognise and achieve their potential, and in doing so drive economic prosperity. I am happy to meet any business owner or senior manager for an hour to discuss their business. However to enjoy a successful relationship with me, or any other business coach, they must have reached a point where they are ready to embark upon significant change, ready to embrace new ideas and perspectives, and are committed to change because they recognise that their goals won’t be achieved by maintaining the status quo. Inaction is not an option. Favourite Quote "Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it."
