Taking the First Step
Once I understand where you, the stakeholders, want to be, it is vital to understand where the business is now. Working together we can develop a plan to bridge the gap between the two. The first step for you is to make a call, get in touch and find out how I can help you. From there, we can meet, get to know each other and learn more about each other’s businesses and I will explain the benefits of Ology’s innovative and unique approach to helping businesses succeed. You will also be able to assess my ability to help you add considerable value to your business.
With a degree in Marketing and Business Psychology I started my career working in the profitable side of the car industry; parts and service. Following a number of years in various marketing roles I moved to take up a position with (at that time) the world’s largest manufacturer of recycled paper products. This continued developing my business marketing skills but also extended into National Account Sales.
A change of direction saw me move into strategic event management and production in a business development role - completing major projects for clients including Glaxo, Cisco Systems, Pretty Polly, Avro and AEA Technology. Despite the rapid growth of the business, after five years I decided to become self employed.
As a freelance producer and scriptwriter I completed communication projects and change management initiatives for clients such as ERF Trucks, Volvo, Shell, BUPA, Manchester City Council, United Cooperatives, the NHS and the North West Development Agency.
These projects gave me invaluable experience of the commercial challenges facing organisations and of the difficulties inherent in creating and managing successful change programmes.
It was very apparent to me that a supportive coaching relationship is far and away the most effective means for initiating and managing successful organisational change.
My 10 years of self employment has also involved working with a number of smaller businesses and start-up companies. and has given me a great understanding of the issues and challenges facing businesses in an ever changing environment.
